Hello Rig Talk Forum Members,
I am hoping to get expertise on a particular rig setup concept and HOW to AVOID ruining guitar amps in the process.
Pre-requisite info
I want to be able to effectively play in a two piece band with someone else who will play drums.
My goal is essentially to establish an ABY bass rig where one signal line A is going into a bass amp(s) to get a classic bass tone and another signal line into two guitar amps to get a "guitar tone" that can be both "clean" and "dirty".
The Actual question
- if I run the second signal line into a Pitch Fork Pedal (2 octaves up), a compressor pedal and then a Boss EQ pedal (cutting out bass frequencies) will the actual frequency going into the guitar amplifiers be a frequency that wont risk blowing the guitar speakers up??
- does the pitch fork pedal truly alter the signal frequency from the low bass frequencies into a range of average guitar frequencies???
Thank you
