I have a Marshall MF280 Mode Four cab with these speakers loaded up. I bought it on a whim but prefer my greenback loaded 1960B. Just a greenback kind of guy I guess.

Anyway, I have had the cabinet posted locally on and off for a couple months with some bites but nothing worth what I am seeing V30's sell for on their own! Besides, I like the look of the cabinet in my music room.

So, any thoughts on what 4 - V30MF speakers might sell for these days?

I believe those are the same speakers that come in the Marshall 1960 vintage. Can you post a pic or at least what codes are on the sticker and cone?

No they are different. A little softer in the high end, and deeper low end IMO. I had an MF280A cab and it sounded very close to my 83 1960a with 65s, surprisingly.

I should add that they should go for what a V30 goes for, 70+ per speaker.

Those cabs are F'n incredible!
Not crazy about the MF cabs with the G12K100's, but the MF V30 cabs kill!
I believe the MF cabs are a little bit bigger than a standard 1960 cab, and those MF V30's sound really good.
That cab should sell for a premium over what a regular 1960 cab with V30's would go for. Bare minimum would be equal value to a 1960 AV/BV.
And if you want to keep the cab and part out the speakers, same value as a regular V30 for sure.

I believe they have a resonance frequency of 55 hz instead of 75 hz.

Yeah I should probably just keep it. Looks great in my room! Horrible pic below but yes, it is about 3" taller than the 1960B on the right.

I payed like 130-140 dollars for a pair of Relic 30's (relabeled British-made Vintage 30 MF's) a couple of months ago.

Aren't all V30's like that? Or at least they all have the 444 bass cone.

Either way, Vintage 30MF's are quite a bit darker than standard Chinese Vintage 30's, but they are also tighter with less boomy low-end. They're very low-mid focused, rather. They're also noticeably more efficient, IME.

I've been looking for these speakers and I have a quad of UK made Greenbacks to trade. If that's something you'd be interested in, shoot me a PM :)

Dang it Billy! I might have to take you up on that. Let me check tonight to see if I can find my speaker boxes to ship these.

Awesome. Also, keep in mind that I am in Las Vegas now, but I will be moving to PA within a month...so since you're in Ohio, it might be cheaper for both of us to ship the speakers once I am on the East Coast. Actually one of my stops on the way to PA is Youngstown, where we could meet up. So if you want to wait a few weeks that would be fine with me. But I am fine either way. Just let me know :)

Swap out two MF's for two Greenbacks! That's a killer combo and will still be a different flavor than your other cab.
