I found a 1976 Marshall cab not too far from me, and I'd like to know what a fair price for one of these would be? It's a 1935 angled bass cab, so it's basically a 1960a but with 55hz G12M Blackbacks. The condition is slightly beaten up, but not too bad considering the age.

How much is this cab worth? And also, how much would the speakers go for if I ripped them out and sold them separately? The guy is asking around 725 euros / 820 USD, and it's located in Sweden.

$820 USD...hmm, might be a little strong, IMO.

These cabs have (or should have) the 55hz G12M BlackBacks in them, but they weren't the highly sought after model. The G12H30 55hz BB was.

You should listen to the cab first with your guitar & amp, as these speakers might not be what you're hoping/looking for. Personally, I found the 55hz G12M BB's to be pretty soft sounding, not very articulate. Your mileage may vary. Find out the return policy on the cab if you don't like it.

I'd only pay $650 for that cab, and that was if it was in good condition.

And this guy is in Sweden so what we like to pay or are willing to pay for a Marshall cab may or may not have any relevance to what this should sell for.

So basically what I though, a bit too strong. I was thinking somewhere around 600 USD max, since it's still somewhat of a drive, and I have to go through the hassle of selling the speakers, which can take a while.

How do you mean me being in Sweden will affect the price? I actually don't know if vintate Marshall stuff is cheaper or more expensive in the states :)

Surely. But I've found that Marshall gear is usually less $$ in the EU than in the US for comparable cabs, except vintage late 60/early 70's cabs, then they are worth more.

Yeah, I don't know either. That's why I said that. Just supply and demand. I don't know if you can't throw a rock without hitting a vintage Marshall cab in Sweden or if they are difficult to find.
