Price/reality check...'68 SB with laydown

I want a '68 Superbass with laydown PT, don't we all.

What is a realistic price range? Doesn't have to be cherry but no basket cases either.

Is there a later year with same transformers/voltages but filter caps on the outside that is essentially the same or very close?

Will anything else, like a Metro or Germino or something, scratch this itch?

I will not be modding this, Sunday driver.

They have went way up. I would expect to pay $6000+ and the better the condition, it just keeps going up.

Yeah, ain't that the way it always goes. I see later amps with both standup and laydown PTs, there is a nice '74 on Reverb but it's in Sweden. I'm not sure but I thought I read the laydown PTs were in the 460vdc range and the standups were just over 500vdc. And the ones prior were north of 550vdc and very hard on tubes.
