is there a good site to read up on guitar values? I have a '64 Fender Jaguar that I'm thinking about letting go as it just sits in the closet. I have no idea what it's worth.

Any suggestions?

What finish, condition, is it all original?

The price on those Jag's has went up quite a bit in the past few years.

Ill try and post some pics in a while Only thing that isn't original is the tail piece, has a bigsby installed.

100% original, you are probably in the ballpark of $1600-$1800
With a changed bridge, dependent upon body damage from the bigsby, about $1000-$1200

I was thinking a bit higher than that.

same color as this one but has bigsby and doesn't have all the body wear on the back like this one does.

A great guitar. I'd have to say the bigsby is going to take a lot away from the value sadly.

Where is routing for original Fender tremolo under Bigsby? I think it's custom made body...

That paint looks a little too new for original plus the Bigsby really takes away from it, this one is going to be a tough sell...

I couldn't tell you but will look closer when I get home tonight. The guitar was given to me in the early 90's and has sat in my closet ever since.

Oh, I can't afford it, I can assure you.
Thanks for the offer though. I hope the sale goes well. Is a beautiful instrument despite the non-stock parts. I'd be honored to own it!

right now I have a call in to a local guitar store that I deal with for an appt for appraisal. Once I get a value it will be up for sale, provided that they don't offer me a fair price at the appraisal. ;)

The burst doesn't look right to me. Is the amber/yellow part opaque? It should just be semi-opaque. A refin would explain the missing route as well especially if the inner part is opaque.

bumping an old thread.

Did you ever figure out the deal with this guitar Tweed?
