I say..... damn, that's some badass shit. Prince fuckin' rocks.

Prince is a Showman and that was completely staged. Please!

He was probably still a little pissed by that early Jackson 5 haircut that someone gave him. It's an Epiphone, it's probably worth more now smashed by Prince on eBay.

LOL so true.

What am I missing, in the video I see he throws the vintage Epi and it is in one piece. What did he smash? Also, no offense to the guy from the Roots, but who the fuck cares? Prince did more by 1980 then he did before he thought of being the dude from the Roots. As long as he gets reimbursed he needs to stfu and be happy Prince touched his guitar...lol.

GTFO, that was a dickhead move plus that was a vintage guitar and not too easy to replace. I also doubt Prince will do anything about it.

A lot of guys pull that crap. I saw Nuno take a kid's PRS and throw it about 6 feet away onto the stage after sitting in with a band at Dallas City Limits in the early 90s. I'll never forget the look on the kid's face as he walked over to his guitar. Never cared for that asshole after that.

Nuno does come across as a bit of a cocky f_ck.Great player and i love his body of work but from what I have read about people who engineered and recorded him, a total diva. Goes well with the painted nails.

That was a total disk move worthy of a beat down. What a fucking asshole....

So many of the rock star divas are pretentious fucks that without the assistance and protection of bodyguards/roadies, they would get beat down daily.

Imagine Axl without an escort of meatheads....

Definiantly not cool, but Prince has always done whatever he wants, regardless of anyone else's opinions or feelings. He thinks he's better than us mere mortals. That song was bad ass though.

We could build the Roots guy a guitar :)

In no way is that ok. Anyone that has played knows some guitars are special. And that is what you bond with. Can't replace that.

Guitars shouldn't be treated like that. A guitar that doesn't belong to you should NEVER be treated like that. An extreme case of why a lot of guitarist don't let anyone else play their instrument.

That aside, damn, Prince can play.

Good for him, that guy and the drummer both act like douche bags anyways

If it was some off the rack guitar I wouldn't be too bent, but it was a vintage Coronet, not a cheap axe. It's a dick move either way, you don't treat other people's gear like crap.

I guess I don't just don't get the hype about his playing because every time I see him play I wait for all this amazing playing to come and all I hear is a dude who can play. Well, there's millions of dudes who can play. I don't hear anything special in his guitar playing. Let's just take Eric Gales who get no national credit, and smokes Prince with ease.

Unless that Epi is the guitar that dude normally plays on the show, I'm calling bullshit.
