Proto cabs

The cabs made in Dillingen have a much better
sound quality. I heard the new 412RC today.........just WOW !

I assume it depends on the extented construction
concerning the corners.
We decided to use 15 mm plates of heavy birch.
The 18 mm version was to stiff and bassy.

But we are not finished with the research and have
another ideas for the construction.

I am using a 2x12 ported cab from "The Heritage", I replaced the former mix of G12H30/Vintage 30 with a Greenback and a Heritage G12-65, it is a VERY good combination. The actual lightness in the bottom end supports the playing and the ported design adds a good portion of bottom end. The cab is also quality made and quite resonant, a very very good match with my Einstein. 50W only but is enough for me as I never go past 10 am on master.

How exciting! Keep us posted!

Right, I best start organising things to sell on ebay...

Sounds interesting.

So, any news about Lucy? And about bass cabs?

Just work as hard as you ever did and I believe we all will be very much satisfied , ...

Damn, i love my VH-4. And as I'm a bass-player first, my VH-4 needs a sister :D

Wow, that's really cool Peter! How will the price compare to the old cabs or is it too early to say?

Money isn´t much imortant to me ;)

That's awesome that you work that much and you say that :) What is important to you/makes you happy? :) perhaps the car in your picture?

I am thinking of getting a rear load Diezel cab with vintage 30's to go with my VH4. If the new proto cab is an udated version of this cab I may wait unil they are available. Are the new cabs an upadted version of the rear loaded Diezel cab? Also what does the RC in 412RC stand for?

I believe RC is just for rearloaded cab

And this new 412RC must be the cab I was also looking for. Veeerry Nice!!

will this new cab be offered,or ordered in usa?

God I hope so, I REALLY want one of these bad boys, my Bogners are great but the high's are stuffy because of the batting, but take the batting out and the low end isn't the same.

And this....

doesn't help the need factor.

Also, Peter, do these cabs have batting in them? I kinda hope not, but whatever makes it sound good.
