Most was through the MOAB. I’ll try to point out the jcm800 parts. 4:00 and 5:36 were JCM800
Yep, where you can see it plugged in with the Tim on... and that neck sounds great

It’s not super versatile but if you like to play lead with your neck pickup, it does it well. I don’t have any more of those magnets though and didn’t order any either. They’re also from the UK. I literally threw it together this morning so that we didn’t have to video it with an empty neck cavity.Yep, where you can see it plugged in with the Tim on... and that neck sounds great
The way these pups pushed the JCM was fantastic. Thanks now not only do I want a pair of these, I want a JCM800 too![]()

I’ve never spent a lot of time with the 500T, but I can only assume that this is a bit hotter, a bit more low end. The Dirty fingers has a nice bouncy feel to it but still sound pretty open. How do you think these would compare to a 500T in an Explorer? I keep trying other pickups and coming back to the 500T but I’m never totally happy with it either.
Man, this project almost didn’t happen. Between my UK supplier shipping wrong parts twice and a package arriving already open and all my large magnets missing, I was about to give up. I had some other winders help me out and put me in contact with a manufacturer that’s hooking me up. I should have those in Monday.

Same for me techno...I'm ready when @scottosan is ready.
I’ve always seen people relate the 500T to the Dirty Fingers probably just because they’re both Gibson’s high output ceramic designs, but it seems to me like the Dirty Fingers has a broader frequency response compared to the 500T which is kind of like a narrow midrange and treble focused sound.I’ve never spent a lot of time with the 500T, but I can only assume that this is a bit hotter, a bit more low end. I hated the 500t in my Explorer and LP. Flat, bland, meh. This pup has plenty more going on, livlier, big push, great harmonics. ?How do you think these would compare to a 500T in an Explorer? I keep trying other pickups and coming back to the 500T but I’m never totally happy with it either.
What guitars?Slightly off topic , replaced two Dimarzio AT-1s with a Tone Nerd Sunset and Roxy . Couldn't be happier . Very articulate and open under a fair amount of gain and they clean up really well rolling off the volume . Scott is a class act too
Definitely give us an update when you’ve spent some time with it. I’d love to find a better high output option for mine. I actually like the 500T a bit. I like the sort of built in grittiness it has for some things and that it doesn’t add a bunch of low end emphasis but at the same time the low end it does have is muddled sounding and with some amps it sounds mean and with others kind of nasal and flat.I hated the 500t in my Explorer and LP. Have a Godwood set in the Explorer now. Way better than the 500t.
Will be replacing with the Psykes, see how that goes.
