I liked it .hated the clips ,played it and it was much better than the clips show .

You really have to go check it out try through a few cabs if you can

If you check you tube there is a clip of an archon and that cab I believe ,I liked the EVH cabs

I honestly liked it. Especially with BareKnuckle Juggernaut pickups. The cleans were decent and chiming. I should have tried more pickups through it. The gain could be a little stiff and got loose/undefined when dialed up over 7-8. Great loop, low noise floor.

I'd probably pick up a 50 watt head used at some point. I also liked it better with an EL34 type power tube such as the 6ca7.

Yeah you can probably pick one up for $1300 shipped.

I'd hold out for a better deal.

I played the 100w at Guitar Center Platinum room and it sucked. Maybe their QC sucks as the amp I played through sounded decent but I had the volume at 1:00 and it wasn't that loud at all. I turned it up to almost 2-3:00 and it was still not super loud. It was in 100w mode too.

By comparison I played the Shiva with channel volumes around 12:00 and the master on 9:00 - 10:00 and it was crushing.

There are no channel volumes ,the Volume is actually the gain ,the level is all the master if you had the MASTER on 7 GC would have probably thrown you out 2 on the master is loud its will easily get 5150 volume. So essentially you ran a ton of gain with low master

You should have knocked guitars off the wall .there is something wrong with amp ,if it was not on 50watts .maybe bad tube or the cabinet they plugged it in to

Whatever you do Brent, if you like the tone of your Rec DO NOT sell it....just keep it and save for something else. You don't want to regret selling something you liked, and never finding another like it....most of us here have been on that train.

It had to have been the amp. Mine was loud and pushed plenty of air. Yes I had one for a while. Like I said, it sounds way better with EL34 type power tubes.
