Thought about picking up one of these after the holidays due to budget (wallet isn't too lined haha)

Couple questions though:

1. Is there more than just the flat top kind?
2. Anyone who's experienced this, is it easy to maintain and durable?
3. Overall rating?

The new 2012 models have a slight carve top, no where near as awesome as the US model but much better than the flat top models. The neck carve is different too, more comfortable, IMO, not as thick. It also sports a three way switch with a push pull tone knob that splits the coils which the older models only had a five way switch so you get a little more versatility out of it.

It's one of the best guitars I've ever owned. My local shop does a set up before they hit the floor and I haven't had to tweak it in any way, I barely have to tune it. It holds up really well. I think the biggest drawback is that the cosmetic look of the rosewood is inconsistent. Some people don't like it, I think it adds character.

Overall score? I got mine for @ $700, it was one of the first to hit the market, so I think you can find them for less now. But at the price point, you can't beat it. At any price point, it'll give you a run for the money. Great, great guitar.

Thanks! Know of any online stores that have them in stock? I checked musician's friend and they only have the flattop :(

Every one of these I've picked up have been solid and consistent guitars. Really great for the low price. Go for it:)

You might try Sweetwater, I think they had some at one point.

Just checked, they have them on the site but the are "coming soon".

I checked on there, It looks more expensive but i can't find the descriptors telling me it's the 2012 model and carved top

It's the new one, you can tell from the control layout and if you look at the pics you can see the carve. You can always call them to make sure, the guys there are actually really helpful and knowledgeable.

I have a 25th Cu24 SE, and I love it. I use it side by side with my SE 245 with my band. The plastic nut needs to be upgraded right off the bat, but other than that it is a very stable and reliable guitar. Graphtech TusqXL nut is what I used, very easy to do.

Here's a great reference/guide for replacement (you may need to register at this forum to view it, but it's worth it)
