Rarely see these for sale used, is it just because no one sells them or because theres not that many out there?
How do these compare to the SC's? Seems these have a thicker mahogany back.

Now that Tremonti's fans are older and they changed the guitars to look more like a conventional PRS singlecut I see more dealers carrying them.

I would have never considered one before because of that gaudy inlay on the 12th fret, but with the new revamp and for the specs it seems like a pretty cool guitar, just have to replace the Trussrod cover![]()
in comparing the singlecut vs the tremonti goes, in my opinion they are equally awesome just a little different. sc has stoptail. tremonti II has tremolo. sc's have wide fat neck. tremonti II has wide thin (aka pattern thin for 2011). if i was going to have one guitar it would be the sc bc of the stoptail and just change the bridge pickup to a tremonti. it's too hard to change tunings for me with a tremolo bridge and i change tunings all the time. totally a matter of opinion. Both are awesome though!cyndicate":5aun0nr4 said:Rarely see these for sale used, is it just because no one sells them or because theres not that many out there? How do these compare to the SC's? No,no,Tremonti2 is not like a SC250.The SC250 is chambered, the TR2 is solid like the original SC.The (T)WT neck is a bit fatter than the usual WT,feels real niceEven Bigger D":3qvtm16f said:cyndicate":3qvtm16f said:Even Bigger D":3qvtm16f said:I'm not sure how many were ever ordered. Yeah, the 12th fret "underwear label" was a deal killer for a lot of folks. The new ones are basically just a SC250-Trem with a hot bridge pickup. Which I could certainly be down with.
it's not chambered like the sc250 or sc245 but it obviously has a massive empty spot for the trem. if you want a sc that is completely solid body minus the spot for electroics, you'd have to go to early 2006 sc models and earlier or a tremonti I which i would never get b/c of the horrible 12 fret inlay. what could PRS possibly have been thinking when they did that?!viking22":3uupc2ry said:No,no,Tremonti2 is not like a SC250.The SC250 is chambered, the TR2 is solid like the original SC.The (T)WT neck is a bit fatter than the usual WT,feels real niceEven Bigger D":3uupc2ry said:cyndicate":3uupc2ry said:Even Bigger D":3uupc2ry said:I'm not sure how many were ever ordered. The trem is up-routed:can go up and down.Neck pup is covered. It's a fantastic guitar !

The PRS trems are really nice too, hardened steel, stay in tune like a floyd, but feel like a vintage trem. Great guitars IMO.
