I saw a video with Tim Pierce. He has acquired a PRS guitar without a truss rod. I knew there were some guitars made in the past that used fully rosewood necks. Has anyone else seen this, and or one of these fiddles?
Didn't know that was a thing with PRS and seems pretty risky.
IIRC it was Martin Co who invented the truss rod, but didn't make theirs adjustable until the mid 80s.
Didn't know that, but always thought their pivoting FR were interesting.
Seems more logical than plate to post contact, but wonder if they wear quickly and/or make noise. Do you own one?

Pulled my Vigier out recently after playing my ESP for last year exclusively. Man it was still in tune. Such unique tones. Work of art. Shame they weren’t more popular and now I believe Patrice Vigier has retired and shut up shop.
