As a side, I find this a little sad. As I was just typing in Mustaine, it gave me the red "vibrato" looking symbol underneath for a possible misspelling, however, when I couldn't remember if Hammett was 1 or 2 "t"s but finally got it right, it didn't give me the "vibrato" symbol. It's sad that the software used here recognizes Hammett as a correct spelling for a word that only one person in history has as a last name, but thinks Mustaine is misspelled :cautious:

Hammett could buy Mustaine and not even know he spent anything. So, if you measure on success it is no contest. Also Early Metallica is pretty awesome, and even though I do enjoy early Megadeath, I take Metallica....upto and including Black Album.

BTW....many here have really awesome guitar chops, I agree....but has ANYONE here written and published any music that tops Early Metallica?

So to cap it off, Mustaine has better chops, but is nowhere near as successful as the weaker player who wrote stronger catalog. Imho.
 
So many things Randy got right. Polka dots ain't one of them. The only exception is the black V. Somehow i t's glorious. He really stuck the landing on that one.
