Two tears in a bucket, fuckit. I went ahead and bought one. Never actually had a boost before, but so many good things said about this one I have to give it a whirl...

Yeah, I had the grind v1. Sold it. Want it again haha.
It sounded badass with the Diezel dmoll with drop tunings.
Hope it does some cool shit to my Herbert when I want some different flavor.
I’m gonna try and have a death match between the grind and the 33 for my nasty brootz.

Whats there to look for on the grind where you already have the 33 ? 33>grind... flavour and different cuts ?

33 boosts and thickens an amp, makes a tight amp tighter and gives it sonic fullness, but cannot take a loose amp very far into tight. Has a slight pleasing tone shift.

Grind takes a loose amp and immediately tightens it up and alters the voicing into a more mids focused tone. Some say it removes bottom end which is somewhat true but that’s kind of what a guitar needs in a band mix. It’s not a bedroom pedal.

If you have an amp with any flub whatsoever or you are kind of fooling yourself that your drop tuned guitar with 9’s sounds immediate, get the Grind.

Ahh... yup i like the 33 pedal that it does to my Ultra lead... it seems to take away the flubby tone, and turns it into a cutting monster... but it sort of adds abit of scooped to it? I say its like an extention of what my VHT edge button does and its kinda more to it...

But i have no idea how the Grind works... will it also add dryness to your tone?

Haha...its not really loose like mud or rubberband and maybe i describe it wrongly...

I mean UL is tight but it still have that lowend being flub or bassy ? But when kicked in the Fortin 33 it really transforms into a tighter meaner and aggressive with chomps and bites...
Without turning rubbery like what you find in an ordinary transister pedal...

I find that unfathomable. Do you have the EQ on your UL? I'd be interested in seeing how you dial it in to get that flub.  I had a grind awhile back and found it to be unnecessary for anything other than a Recto or Uber - for which it did wonders.

Yeah... mine is with eq but i always set it either too dry or too scooped lol i agree i should have spend more time on the EQ... and maybe partly i wanna slightly different flavour off from the Fortin pedal...

Anyway i got it and its like an extension of the VHT edge button... it has full thicker aggressive sort of scooped and chunkier. Like spongier tone? Sorry am bad at my describing tone lol... i have no idea of the grind will be like more of a VHT shift button ? I mostly prefer with shift button off... i just like a little modern but still in ya face

Anyway have you heard the recent reza acquired Fortin modded gainmonster amp?

No idea how you like it but its like the ultimate gain machine in most organic way ! In anyway tighter than a UL if it wants to...

Exactly... you can add a Rivera K-tre to that list as well.

Fortin cock ring included?
Only if you get all 3 pedals and mail in the the coupons from the back of the boxes...

Does the Grind seem necessary for an Archon 50? Debating on that or possibly a Precision Drive.

Grind arrived today. Pretty good, ordered from Canada late afternoon of Nov 1, arrived to Atlanta Nov 8.

Anyway, I spent a few minutes with it on my Herbert. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. My main almost always on OD is the Airis Savage drive, however I know the Grind is a little different thing. I found the best sounds so far that I liked by stacking the Grind with another pedal (tried with the Savage and the Bogner Wessex) and rolling back a little on each. It was already sounding good and the Grind gave it just a little edge and punch that sounded good. I would make youtube, but I'm not yet setup do do anything justice. It's a good pedal, I'm thumbs up on it.
