PSA: Stone Age 2x12C-U 'BEAST' - Custom Cab - GRAB IT

I got off the phone with John a little while ago and he is just class act all the way. I inquired about this cab out of curiosity, knowing it's probably not what I'm in need of, but inquired anyway. ...I'm checking out a Bogner, which I used to have years ago: great cab.

So John gave me the rundown of this 2x12 and it sounds like a superbly made and would be perfect for someone that does hard rock to uber djent metal. It should be super tight. Check out the description in the link.

I know a lot of guys are checking 2x12s from some of the boutique and higher end makers, which is usually warranted, but I would give this one a serious look.

I asked John if it was OK to post this and he said, 'Sure!'.

John is class act all the way. He lives about 15 minutes from me.
Never met him personally. But talked to him on the phone several times and lots of PM and emails.

I’m mixed about those cone blockers in the pic. I have some and they are cool for some applications, but not all.

Looks like the front baffle would need to be cut as well. There is wood running down the center of each speaker.

It’s not wood, if you’re referring to the first picture with the things on the grill. Those are
Like beam blockers, but better.

The cab is ready to go. John was great answering all my questions as I asked him about some other custom options.

Ah, you’re right. Appears so: my bad. John said the “bra” part, fuzzy looking thing, can be removed. Maybe that wood part can, too, but maybe not. From what he described in how it’s designed, it sounds like it is a killer cab.

Stone Age does make some killer cabinets. I put a new grill cloth on one for a friend and the cabinet was over built and sounded great. He must have used 500 staples to attach the grill cloth. lol

If the price included shipping, I'd probably go for it....great cab..here's a pic of Egnater one I owned previously. It had the bar pattern and tone bra installed on the front:
