According to the authorities, NOAA, there are 2 major coronal mass ejections rated at G3 on a scale from 1-5, headed towards earth tomorrow, August 18, 2022. This could fry electronics so if there’s something important that you don’t want to have a surge of power to, unplug it, it’s not enough to just turn it off, and I wouldn’t rely on safety devices either. Your mileage may vary, better safe than sorry.
