Put EL34s back in my Einstein...

So for shits and giggles I decided to put the stock Ruby EL34BSTR tubes back into my Diezel Einstein (50W) combo. I was using Svetlana/SED 6L6GCs in it earlier but decided to give the EL34s another go. I found that I kinda like the EL34s better for distorted tones. Tighter bottom end and thicker midrange but also more top end sizzle than with the 6L6s. The 6L6 tubes have noticeably better cleans to me, more Fenderish whereas the EL34s make it lean maybe more towards VOX (yes I know they use EL84s, I'm just talking about general tonality).

So all this got me wondering if I should try the Svetlana/SED EL34s in this thing. I liked them with the Marshall DSL50 I had. Has anyone tried other EL34s in their Diezel and did they make a difference compared to the Rubys?

A pair of Boogie STR 6L6s - I didn't like as they were lacking the cut in the mids.
A pair of =C= EL34s which were great and complex, but a the overall sound got a bit blurry/muddy, was better when mixed with a pair of the stock rubys/

I haven't yet tried a quad of different tubes and still need to find a type that would be superior to the stock Rubys.

I tried SED 6L6 in my Einstein Combo too, I also found them a bit better for clean sounds. But the distortions were too muddy and not tight enough. I also checked Electro Harmonix EL34. They were thin (clean and distorted). Then I tried pair EL34 by SINO, the same thing. Finally I went back to the stock tubes by Ruby. I think they are the best choice if you're looking for a versatile sound.
Maybe I will check the JJ's EL34 and I will try some other preamp tubes (by the way, are there any proposals??).
