I have no idea. The Star could be a Kramer. I'm more interested in the tiny LP shape that looks like it has a plaid finish on it.

It looks like a modified Gibson Marauder. The Flying V headstock and the pickguard make me think that.

Great vidoe! Thanks for posting. I have never seen those guitars before...

You know, after watching it again and catching the headstock again, I thought it might be a Marauder. Hm.

There's the one close up during the lead where you can see a space between the pickups. It's a bit odd.

Yeah, who knows what that thing is.

holy shit that video was baddass !!!

fuck they were good back in the day

damn....Aria guitars? The les paul type almost looks like one of those crappy Sonus Gibsons (or something like that), but don't think they would have the whammy. Bar looks like a Kahler, but i sure can't pick out the brand of guitar. cant see any headstock.

edit...think the les paul type is an ovation electric.

kinda similar?

edit again..not really close, but the headstock in the video looks like an ovation headstock.

Just froze the video at :39 seconds, and you can clearly see the bridge is aftermarket. There are 2 holes behind the bridge where the originals posts used to be, I think.

I would really like the body shape if it was the shape of the top of the pickguard instead of a LP. It's hard to describe what I mean. Freeze it at .39 and look at the pickguard shape at the top of the guitar by the neck heel. If the guitar had a cut-out that shape instead of a rounded section like an LP, it would be awesome.

I don't think it's an Ovation. The fretboard ends way before the pickups, unlike how it does in the picture above. And considering Chris has switched the pickups out for 'buckers, it would be hitting the fretboard. And the bridge doesn't look like it's back far enough. The one in the video has the switch in a different position too, but he could have just routed the body out.

What's up with that weird cut-out in between the pickups? Looks like their might have been a third pickup there are some point and he took it out. That might help figure out what it was, unless it was a custom job, which would make this even harder.

How about the finish? It looks like a dark green-ish plaid color. Anyone ever seen anything like that before?

I think it's a three pickup Gibson Marauder. He painted it a dark plaid color, put two blade humbuckers in it, took out the Stoptail and put in a trem.

They sold a lot of different variations of the Marauder. Different pickup configurations, different pickguard shapes, different inlays, moving the switch from near the knobs to the bottom horn by the neck, using a rotary knob instead of a switch.

Here's a Marauder with the right pickguard. There are two different pickguard shapes, this seems to be very similar to what Chris is playing to me.
