DeGarmo Queensryche is some of the best music put to tape (Exhibit A: Mindcrime)

But don't diss the cover band... The singer is great and the band as a whole are much better writers than what Tate mustered when you compare both of their new albums

Loved that album too!! I remember them saying it was the most "commercial" of albums to date for the band. Still kicks all sorts of ass though.

Yeah...to me that's THE Maiden album of all time. I remember back in 1988, being 15, summer holiday from school, finally got the album and had recorded it on tape...listened to that tape for the 2 weeks we went to visit relatives and whatnot . Not a single filler song on that album!

said it before and say it again...."El dorado" by Maiden is one of my all time favorite songs ever!
The gallop...the Chugging...and its got a modern heavy vibe. Love it!

You got that right, one of the best if not the best modern era Maiden songs! I stayed up late the night they gave "El Dorado" for a free download before the official release of "The Final Frontier" and loved the song right from the start! They played it at the infamous Sonisphere festival in 2010 in Pori Finland, and I gotta say it sounded wicked good and Bruce...was unbelievable as well.

Not to derail the topic completely... it's great that the guys found TLT to front the band. Now they have a singer again who can deliver instead of the hack performing the songs, old and new, in a W. Shatner type manner.
