Hey gents....
I'm rearranging speakers in my 212 cabs and wanted your advice. Otherwise, I'll try both ways and see which I like best.
I have a Stone Age 212C OS cab with Redbacks and a Bogner 212 OS with K100/V30.
The Bogner is slightly larger in size and seems to sound a tiny bit bigger? Hard to say. Both are great!
I want to pull back the highs a bit on the Big and want to add some highs and cut on the Stone Age so I'm thinking of swapping speakers aground. I'm running both semi open back.
Since the Bogner is slightly larger I believe, would you do the more bad prominent speakers there since the cab may handle it better or into the smaller cab to add lows? The size difference is slight at best, to be honest.
Anyway, I want to do Redback/V30 in one and Redback/K100 in the other.
I'm leaning toward Stone Age with Redback/V30 and Bogner with Redback/K100. Or the other way around. Lol.
I'll see how this works and go from there.
I may get a Classic Lead 80 or Mesa MC90 to swap in as well.
I thought the V30 would get on my nerves but it adds a thick organic vibe and punch in the mids. I was thinking of replacing the V30 with a CL80 or MC90 to take the cut a bit but don't want to loose thick mids.
Maybe I'm asking too much.
I used to have a matching K100 and V30 that I wish I never sold.
