Question for Mr Friedman

I am wondering how much of an impact the effects loop preamp tube has on the overall tone of the amp. I don't use the effects loop at all,but noticed that I was getting some white noise when I was playing. I did a tap test and that was the tube that sounded different.
 
Which amp do you have? My Friedmans all have solid state loops.
 
The preamp tube closest to the power tubes. I thought that tube was for the effects loop?
 
How many 12ax7's are in your amp?

Mine is 2015 and has a SS loop.
 
V4 is the effect loop tube in a 5 tube amp. The brand changes the sound a bit.
