Question for Mr Friedman

I am wondering how much of an impact the effects loop preamp tube has on the overall tone of the amp. I don't use the effects loop at all,but noticed that I was getting some white noise when I was playing. I did a tap test and that was the tube that sounded different.

The preamp tube closest to the power tubes. I thought that tube was for the effects loop?

most be an early 2014 model. mine is from late 2013 tube buffered too.

V4 is the effect loop tube in a 5 tube amp. The brand changes the sound a bit.
