Question on installing Friedman pickups

Can you install the Friedman pickups with the bobbins that have the screws facing outside? Like the pickups on the Friedman Cali that is on the Friedman website.
 
That's how all humbuckers are supposed to be installed. Screws on the outer edge. Bridge pickup screws towards the tailpiece/ bridge, neck pickup screws towards the fret board.
