I picked up a BadCat unleash today, and while I purchased it mainly for live use, I was hoping that I could use it as part of my recording rig. My only experience with cab I.R.'s has been with devices like the Axe FX, where they were included with the firmware, so I want to be certain that I understand everything before I purchase. Can someone in the know confirm if I am correct in this line of thinking:
Amp->>Unleash->>Unleash Direct Out->>Line Input of Recording Interface->>DAW->>Red Wire Mix I.R Plugin->>I.R of Choice. Am I missing anything?
Also interested to know if anyone else is using a similar setup, and if you are getting good results? My style is mostly Old School Hard Rock/Blues Based Rock.
