Hey guys,

I bought a Friedman modded Rheinhardt that has the Depth mod and I had some questions on it. Does anyone know what the 5 positions on the rotary knob on the back are? Also, where would I set the knob and level knob to get a "normal" setting, as if the amp didn't have the depth mod.

Also, this is my first friedman, and I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but it seems like you really have to crank the master to get this thing loud. In comparison, my Kerry King marshall can be on about 3-4, and the Rheinhard has to be on 6-7 to get anywhere near as loud. This amp also has the full clean, and that channel gets really loud by turning the clean knob on the front, but the gain channels all seem to be alot quiter.

This is the amp in question:

Thanks.

I have Friedman modded Marshalls and can answer 2 of your questions.

The master volume - This is result of Dave's mod, I like it because it gives me great tone at any volume. I practice with a 1/2 stack at 5am during the week and get a good tone without waking the family yet I can turn it up and crack plaster if i wanted to.

The clean channel - Mine is the simple clean and it gets louder "quicker" than the dirty channel. I am guessing it is because of the volume pots used.

Hope you enjoy that amp, I'll bet it sounds great!
