The red sounds badass!!!!!!!!!!! Wonder what it would sound like thru my Shiva?

Yea the red was really more my style but I have to say the blue is really nice and vintage, with a strat plugged in I was really digging it! I liked that the pedals run off of a 9v , and thought the quality was excellent. I think Reinhold did a great job of capturing the character of the amp and the differences between the channels. It felt like an amp to Me , not a pedal, and id say they were quite versatile. I have to admit I was not really a fan of the uber pedal , to me without having the unique presence control that's on the uber, you can't really capture the true sound of the amp.

I found the pedals sounded better in front of an amp , I tried them in the fx return and liked it better up front...

Very cool Nick! I like the red one the best:-)

Does Alto have a bunch in stock ?

Blue sounded nice, but the red sounded killer. And they don't feel like pedals? I might have to look into these... Awesome job!

Mike! yea i have a bunch in stock... hope all is well man :D

Yea it really didnt feel like a pedal to me, ive owned an ecstasy and i really think they did a great job capturing the feel and sound of the amp.

Sound great but would have been nice to hear them without the boost engaged.

The demos sound really good. Ya know the weird thing is, psychologically, I struggle with the idea of a pedal as my primary preamp distortion gain stage... Intellectually I know lots of classic artists/cuts have used dirt boxes, but somehow I just can't personally plunk down the cash for a really high end SS dirt pedal.

The Wampler pedals and the Blackstar dirt boxes sound insanely good in demos too but I've never been able to bring myself to pull the trigger on them for that same reason. I came really close to buying a Wampler Pinnacle about two years back but other than that, I just have a RAT that was a gift and a DOD Big Pig from the late 90s and that's it, everything else is a boost, effect, etc...

I know it's my loss... or maybe not. I'd probably start collecting them if I ever got over it. :)

Thanks for the great comparison! Both sound killer and the choice between the two just got more difficult for me.

I just picked up a Blue and have been very impressed. I may pickup another blue for the lower gain stuff. It's sounds awesome for the Hendrix just starting to breakup tones. In fact it does it better than any OD I've heard. The higher gain tones sound just as good.

Thanks for the vid. That may be my favorite demo of those pedals. What were your switch settings? I there any way you can do demo without the boosts engaged? Everthing else the same. Did the blue sound and/or feel bigger than the red while you were playing them?

marked for lader. Currently figuring out what dirt pedals to sell to get one or both of these....

Played a red last night at GC. The pedal is a monster!

The Überschall was terrible. Buzzy and thin. I was shocked at how the red destroyed it.
