Nice chops Man,
wish the clip was longer.
The 6505+ sounded great.

Thanks man!
I'll make a longer one eventually. I'm just getting my machine back up after crashing yesterday. Just re-installed Cubase and figured I'd test it to make sure the inputs are working... LOL! :D

I love that amp. It's really great for modern shit. Easy to play too.

Holy  Damn that sound killer.....Wish it was a bit longer......Nice job!!

They're great amps
That was a whisper volume 1 SM57 (I doubled the track and panned it a bit to the left and bit to the right to make it louder). The delay is my old SDE1000.
Oh yeah, I used Andy Sneaps settings for both the OD808 and the 6505+.

So your 6505+ was boosted with the OD808 in that track?

Yes. Andy Sneaps exact settings.
Thru a Splawn 4x12 with Splawn Small Blocks.

Sounds great man...nice playing to!
Thanks dude.
It's a bit warmer with the mod. I can't say its night and day, but it does make a bit of a difference.

How did you bias mod? Did you piggy back or replace the resistor? What value resistor did you swap it with?

I piggy-backed a 10K resistor on top of what was there. I don't remember what it was, I think it was 12K. The great thing about 5150II/6505+ is that there's a bias trim pot already there, so it's that much easier to do.

Thanks. Yeah. I have a 6505+I want to do the bias mod on. I have the pot currently maxed at 22 Ma. lol. I've read it was a 15k resistor and that some people replaced it with a 4.7k resistor and some people piggy backed a resistor. I'm afraid to mess with it myself. I need to have it done.

It's very easy to do. Seriously, it took longer to heat up the soldering iron than actually perform the mod. If you look on the board that has the bias trim pot, you will see a resistor. It's the bias resistor. You can use a resistance calculator to get a value that will work for you. Basically, the lower the total resistance, the bigger the sweep. Then I just dial it to about about 42ma I think. That's it.

Sounds great! Damn Peaveys are driving me crazy.
Thanks man!
They're great high-gainers. I should have gotten one a long time ago... but nooooooo I was too busy looking at $3k amplifiers to even think about a lowly Peavey... LOL! :D

do you think you could make the mids...I dunno..weirder??

thanks!
