I was messing around with my OD100se+ into a HotPlate I got from Shark Diver, Into a Duet--Logic--Redwirez IR's.

Silent recording at night while my wife was on the phone :)
Backing track from http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com

1 mono track used plugins for delay and reverb.

I made into a video lol.

Ok so I hated parts of the playing in the first one so after watching some other players play things in the correct position I redid the solo so here's the new one.
I forgot to take the ch2 boost off at the end for the rhythm part.

Awesome tone AND playing... as usual! Look forward to hearing more  Quick question about the duet... I'm looking at getting a high quality interface and was wondering if you used the single version of the apogee? If so, is it the same quality as the duet?

I'm pretty sure the Solo is the same as the Duet except single channel.

Hey Mark,

Sounds great especially for IR's etc., I had a hot plate but I just didn't jive with it for various reasons, glad it's killin for you though!

For the answer on the apogee - and Mark don't take this personal!!! I was told it was not very good by some Audio Engineers, check out the new RME interface, I don't recall the name off the top of my head, but I've heard its really great, and RME from what I know (I have never owned one personally) is GREAT stuff!

No offense taken, Dallas :)
I have a Joe Meek Twin Q, Presonus Digimax FS with my Digi003 rack.
The reason I've been using the Duet is I got it new in the box for $250 and it fits in my MacBook's carry case. It's going to be easier to pack for California :). Oh and the results are fine for what I'm doing :)

sounds good man, did the hotplate work good with your amp?

The FX return control works as a great Master volume on the amp so I'm more into using the HP as a load box for silent recording. I haven't really given it much of a chance as for as cranking the amp and attenuating to bring the cab volume down. However as a load box and incorporating IR's it seems to do a decent job :)

I just got it last week so I will play with it some more and report. My initial findings so far is that I prefer using the Return level on the amp more than the HP.
