I have two 1x12 8ohm cabinets...which OHM setting do I have to use in the Mod50?

Thanks!!!

Just for future reference, always use the product divided by the sum when using parallel set up.

So 8*8/(8+8) = 64/16 = 4 ohms.

Not understanding your questions. Do you mean the actual calculation or what they stand for?

Bottom line is "product" means multiply. So you take the Ohm rating of the speakers and multiply them together. Two 8 ohm speakers - 8*8=64.

Sum means addition. Take the Ohm ratings and add them together. 8+8 =16

So the product = 64 and you divide that by 16 or (64/16) which = 4 Ohm total load.

This is parallel wiring only. Series you just add them together. ex. 8 + 8 = 16 Ohm load.

thanks so much!!! that cleared it up!!

now, i have a few more questions, but i posted separately for all input!
