I was asking over on HC what Kirk windstien from Crowbar used on my two favorite albums. and they were saying a metal zone boosted RG100ES.

SO ....is that the same one Dime made famous? if not what was? and what is the RG100?

Dime used the RG100HT, rack mount version.....

The ES is this (the one on top):

I believe it's boosted with a Metal Zone.

so same thing just one is rack and one is head? if one came across a few old randall's and wanted thick crushing crowbar type gain, what would be the ones to get or avoid?

don't know you'd have to give me model numbers......

Crowbar's music is fat and slow. Plus they're always taking a dump.

Psychodave, PM sent

RG200ES (original C-200 before the name change).......

The rg100 is a mid 90's Randall. Not as good as the old 1980's models (rg100es, rg100ht). Dimebag used both i think? but it was usually the rg100ht or c-200's in his live rig.

B-tuned guitar - metalzone set as boost - Randall RG100ES - decent cab = Crowbar tone.
