Quick Sig: X vid! LOVE this amp!

I found a great AC/DC-ish tone on the Sig:X's rhythm channel (playing on a 2x12" loaded with vintage G12-K85's);
Rhythm Channel,
Live mode
Gain I (Voicing) to 12 o' clock (coiltap your guitar for a more Malcolm-ish tone)
Gain II (Sat.) to 1 'o clock (only enable this with the footswitch for solo's)
More Gain on
Wood
100W
Treble: 1-2 'o clock
Mid: 10-11 'o clock
Bass: 2-3 'o clock
Presence: 1-2 'o clock
Depth: 2-3 'o clock

Try it and please report back. ;-)

I lent my Sig X to a friend.... But getting it back probably this week. I'll try it and let you know what I think. Ironically he has my 2x12 with K85 also.

I've seen most of you demos man, and that amp suits you for lack of a better way to put it. Sounds killer.

Sounds stellar man!
I had one when they were first released, was a great amp!
Orange was my fav

I love the Orange channel. Especially with the Mammoth LPC in the vid.

Awesome! I got some new Balaguer "Evergreen" pickups for my LP Trad Pro. The dude I got it from had EMG's installed. Gonna do a before and after vid using the Sig.

I never messed with active humbuckers with my Fryette's much. My Strat has EMG DG20 (SA). It sound great with the Sig X and Deliverance 120. I have a JB in my LP. I have tried many guitars with different pickups.... Because the Fryette amps are so reactive I needed to set the amp up pretty different with some guitars.

Sounds excellent man. Curious what you are using to record your clips. iPhone, mics, ??? Sounds really good.

It's different. On these "in the room" clips it's usually my iPhone or Zoom q8. This was iPhone 7+.

For my full demos I only use my Torpedo Studio unless otherwise noted.

So Steinmetzify asked if there'd be a Sig chuggin' and figured "why not?"

Here's just some iPhone vid. I will do a proper demo soon though. So glad to have finally gotten another one of these amps.

My second favorite amp I've ever owned. Only sold mine because I wanted my backup head to be the same as my main amp. Really the only amp I would like to purchase again one day.

Nice tone! Digging that stuff brother. Your chops are inspiring. Smooth amp. A tad tighter and balanced than the Katana but hell that's to be expected with the cost. Very cool amps. The Fry is sweet man..u rock

Hey thanks Bean! It is definitely a lot more amp than the Katana fo' sho'!

The Fryette truly is amazing. So glad to have one back in the stable. Full demo vid to come sooner than later.

What kind of pups and axe were you using?

I did this on a Burny Les Paul Standard (thick maple top) with a set of DiMarzio's: AT-1 Bridge and Air Norton neck. Both splittable with push/pulls.

Les Paul DC ~ JB in the bridge.

I also did not get my K85's back.... and was using a stack. H30/V30 slant, greenback/V30 straight. No X pattern.

Between these speakers and the JB pickup I'm getting a lot of midrange in my sound.

I consider AC/DC classic rock. I would need to EQ a bit different with this rig to get closer to that sound.

Dude...I don't post nearly as much as I have in the past, but I always check out your stuff. Absolutely love your playing! This one, in particular is my style.....I'd love to do some dual heavy riffing with you if I knew anything about recording

Never played the Sigx, but the CL and UL are two of my favorite amps, so I'm sure it is awesome.
