A quick clip of that little harmonized riff/interlude in Wherever I May Roam. The MTL II is quickly becoming my favorite amp for recording. The gain structure and voicing just sits so well for my tastes. Also, the controls are powerful and effective…I LOVE that. Both left and right are double tracked. Only thing I did was EQ out 3db of 1200.

I've said it before, I must have owned more than 50 amps + power / preamps but the Wizard MTL definitely sits comfortably at the top of my list. Tight - percussive with tons of low and clarity and it's got this amazing 3D tone with huge punch at the same time. It sure is a loud MOFO and personally I think that it comes alive when played loud!
@Tone Monster It sounds great! Good job! Cabs - mics or IR?

Also, how were you running the bright here? I feel like it’s the most finicky control on a Wizard

IRs. I’m through with actual mics!

What IRs are you using? There’s definitely a convenience factor. I wish more guys would put out more raw irs instead of eqing the hell out of them before printing them.

A mix of two via captor x. Ownhammer Mesa v30 with a Royer/some random IR I pulled from the internet called “sandman”. Don’t remember where I even found it. 🤷‍♂️. It’s VERY scooped sounding.
