35 min for everything?

damn it takes me longer than that to get warmed up

yeah the local band competitions are needles in a hay stack around here - usually hardcore bands so our styles dont mix. so then the clubs i play at either refuse to let you do covers, or refuse to let you do originals... always kissing ass either way

Less than 35 ....I always bring a very simple rig to these shows. Guitar /amp / cab ~ maybe a pedal. Most of the time not. Something I can set up or take down in less than 5

need some recommendations on more of the drop proof cases i see some people using.

ive seen 100% suspended cases which look expensive, rubber booted shells inside a shell, and the foam stuff as well.

which is best and for what purpose?

hey gene, they dont make those connectors anymore but redco makes their own brand of connectors for $1.75 a piece - im guessing that will be an alright subsitution quality wise correct?

You must be in the wrong spot, dude.

Are you at this page?

Also, I don't recommend the redco brand connectors. They are flimsy as hell (the big tab for soldering the sleeve connection), and the spacer between the tip and sleeve is sometimes larger than the diameter of the shaft, which has actually caused fit problems in some of my amps/processors.

I see a bunch of Neutriks that would be fine.

NYS201 and NYS224 are both perfectly fine.

Why not use the 5150 as a power amp,
At least if something happened with the rack you would have an emergency rig to play through..

the power amps of 5150's are for shit imho - its in their design. i can explain why but i'll just leave it at that.

i used to own a 3TM ADA-mp1 for building a rack a while back. my original plan was to do just that, and for the 3 months i owned that processor i slaved it through my 5150.

it sounded terrible. it wasnt the processor because i had just played it at a few friends house with SS PA amps and it slayed.

just the design of the 5150s - great for its own preamplifier but there is definately better out there.
