Hi. First I'll start by telling you what I have in my rack. I have an all in one head and rack case with a Diezel VH4, a Samson Powerbrite, a TC Electronic G Major and my X2 Wireless. Only recently when I use the wireless, there's a really loud buzz. I've gone through all my leads, pedals, guitars and amps to find that there's no problems with any of them. So I figure it must have been a dodgy output on the wireless. So I tried a different wireless and got the same problem. Whilst fiddling around with it, I found out that as soon as the rack ears of any wireless touch the rack rails of my case, I get a buzz.

Is this a grounding issue?? I've never had any problem like this before. My other guitarist has a very similar setup and he doesnt have any problems. So i've been playing with the wireless on top of my case and it's absolutely fine.

I did try running everything without the powerbrite and there was no buzz. I also noticed that there's a grounding point on the back of the unit. Should I be using this??

The x2 has a problem with the antennas being on the ears. Solution is use a product called Humfrees on the unit. They will keep the unit off the rails. Do a search you find them at many places. Dave

Thanks for the reply. I did consider using those or just taping up the back of the ears with electrical tape but it happened on my Audio Technica wireless too where the antennas are on the front of the unit. I don't know why it would only have started happening recently.

Also it's not dangerous to neglect this hum is it? It could be an earthing issue or something

Dude its simple you have a ground loop do what I said and use the Humfrees not tape and problem solved.
