I worked a party for his daughter's birthday party where I work. They paid for the "VIP" package so I followed them around and assisted them all day. I mostly worked with his wife (Donna D'Errico) but I talked to him a bit too. Both were really cool. The whole family was really.

She even wrote a note to my boss saying how amazing I was :D

Interesting. Please tell us more......

No disrespect to Sixx. He wasnt huge ;) I just remembered him in the Home Sweet Home video skinny as a rail. I am a fan of his body of work and love the Sixx AM records. He was cool too for the brief few minutes I spoke with him.

Always cool to hear.

I have met some small time famous guys that were complete jerks, yet when I met Metallica one on one they were really cool and down to earth.

I think he was on the "rockstar diet" back then. :D

Nice. :)

I guess the small time famous ones are just jealous of the more famous ones, so they try to make up for it with the big ego. I reckon that ultimately works against them. With the bigger ones like Sixx, the fancy flashy stuff is just for show- deep down they're just normal good people. It's good to see. I'm glad I read this thread.

reminds me of when I was in the Apple store in Sherman Oaks (also the valley), and looking at those iPod HiFi speakers they had then, and I look up and EDDIE is giving me advice on which speakers to go with.

yes. EVH.

it's funny living in L.A.

you never know who will bump into...and you bump into them quite often actually in the oddest places.

Nothing all that interesting really, didn't have any in depth conversations with him. I work at a miniature golf course. It has rides and an arcade and whatnot. I helped serve them their food-refilled their drinks, handed out the pizza, cut the cake, dished out the ice cream, that kind of thing. Then I walked around with the kids and the family while they played a round of miniature golf. Helped them on and off the rides. Brought out water for them. You know, that sort of deal. I talked to them a bit, told him that I was a fan but basically left it at that. When we did talk it was typically about how I could help him or his family out. He was really cool though. Didn't seem arrogant, not even a hint of it.

I actually have met a number of celebrities there, you'd be surprised how often someone comes in. I've meet Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Adam Sandler, Charlie Sheen, Cheech Marin, Paul Walker, Pat Sajak, John C. McGinley (Dr. Cox from Scubs), Kevin Sorbo (Hercules), Dave England, Lauren Holly, and probably others I can't recall off the top of my head. A few of them come in on a regular basis.

I'm not even really in L.A. either. I'm a county over, about 45 mins from it.

Here is the note she wrote, kinda cool so I kept it:

It's awesome to hear about rockstars turning out to be decent people, especially someone like Nikki Six, who'd I would expect to be a complete asshole.

As a teenager when I first heard TFFL and SATD, Nikki epitomized "rock star" to me...he just seemed larger than life at that time.

Fatism...awesome. Especially from former big people and soon to be bigs. Fatists...nice

My buddy teaches drums at an orphanage in LA that was started or funded by Nikki. He gets to hang with him sometimes. Says he is a real genuine person.

Cool that you got to meet him. He IS Motley Crue if you ask me. I was never a fan of Vince Niel per say and Mic was always a mediocre guitarist (compared to others) as was Tommy Lee (compared to others). And Nikki was not necessarily a great bass player but he wrote most of the songs and lyrics and basically was the driving force.
