Hey everybody,
I'm thinking about popping for an iso cab type of system and have come up with the Randall Iso Cab and the Grendel Deadroom.

Just wondering if anybody has any experience and what you're opinions/suggestions are.

thanks

I was actually thinking about picking up an iso cab to for home recording. There is no issue running a head to these as far as ohms and what not? Bc I would love to be able to record my Roadster when I am at home.

Had the randall....For recording it sounded like dogshit. Incredibly boxy and paper sounding. It also needs a fair amount of help in the sound quieting department too. I would look elsewhere.

those grendals are nice and I want one.. just dont have the scratch for one. edit: and of course the grendal guy posts on HCAF, i think his name is killersoundz.

You could always look into building yourself a Isocab to fit a 2x12, wouldnt cost more than $150, and there a few tutorials online from people.

No. Buy 12 ply plywood, build a basic box, and build enough room in front for one 12" and a mic in there, crank the shit outa the amp...
:rawk:
