i like the sound of the TSS switched to the right better. the other positions sounded dark on my speakers. of course it could be eq'd plenty in post.

i like the sound of the TSS switched to the right better. the other positions sounded dark on my speakers. of course it could be eq'd plenty in post.

The description in the manual is as follows:
Left- Midrange boost with flat bass response and rolled off highs.......great for smooth burning lead tones.
Center- Stock position with an even bass, mid and treble response..... perfect for Rock
Right - Midrange scoop with a boosted bass and treble response. Perfect for metal.

And your right, plenty of eq could be added in post. I didn't want to add anything though. My guitar also has a low output pickup(8.4k i think) and I'm tuned to A# which both contribute to the tone(good or bad). It really did surprise me how good it sounded and it's super cool not having to have a speaker load connected.

i really can't believe how good this simple setup sounds. you could have easily posted a description of tons of high dollar gear and played April fool on this one.

the guitar tone surprised me too.....i thought that brand was some beginner junk, i need to read up some more.

I hadn't even considered the whole impulses thing. Someone with better skills( most anyone) is gonna get somd amazing tones. I honestly am very ignorant to a lot of the recording stuff and equipment. I kinda just wanted to record it its most basic form. I've been fiddling with it a little and even just adjusting the single tone knob is really effective.

as far as the loop goes......I have only used it with a Vox Delaylab and did not notice any change in tone with the unit on,off, plugged in or not plugged in. So I guess that means it pretty good right? Or I deaf.

If you click the link and input "email me a better price" you'll get it even cheaper! The only thing stopping me right now is shipping to Canada 47$ for UPS which will mean more taxes after or 76$ USPS with god knows what else. This thing is a 5 watt amp come on!! Shipping in the states though, We need some dealers that will ship to Can with USPS for less cashola based on the actual unit size vs their projected one.

Tone is pretty good, but the attack seems really soft and weak...and Im SURE thats not your playing.

I heard the same thing comparing some one elses miced stuff to their THR10...SUPER soft attack that takes something critical away from the tone for me.

Circuit is essentially the same, just more juice from the 5 watter and not sure if the 1 watter is also 6v6 or if it would be an EL84 or other..
