When I was in my early 20s I had the RG100SC G2. It's 2.5 channels were really good sounding. The clean was somewhere between fender and roland jazz chorus. The overdrive channel had two gains and volumes for each. Very recto inspired so gain 1 was kind of vintage sounding and gain 2 was modern. It sounded great for solid state, especially after changing out the seventy80s for some proper speakers, but the amp was abysmal when it came to reliability. It broke down at least 3 times before I finally gave up on it, and used the shell for a stay at home 2x12 cab. $400 is what they went for new. That seems steep.

I have one. They’re a solid state staple IMO for a practice amp and sound great. The model with chorus (RG200SC) was used by Dime. It nails the chorus sound just before the floods solo. I prefer the model without chorus for better reliability as mentioned prior.

I remember playing one and enjoying the ss tones but definitely not worth that much money.

I've got the 250w head and the 75w combo. Great for dry SS heavy tones. Even better with a 10 band in the loop. Normally they're around $250 used lately.

Okee thanks for all the knowledge !! So it seems the price is more like $250 or less. Haggling is in order then. Or maybe i'll pass, it seems like too much hassle for not much.

They’re going for a lot more these days than $250 simply because of their rarity and starting to be a collectors item. I think I paid $300 for mine and after shipping and taxes it came out to $350-$400. That’s just how it is anymore.
