Great playing, liked the tones as well.

This is the first time from when I can remember that you have more than one amp, you still have the Vintage Modern as well? Not only two amps but one is modular to boot.

i like the friedman mods the best

the slo was great for leads and the black eye was awesome for rhythm.

i think u need and isp pro rack g. i use one with my stuff and it takes out all the hum with high gain.

god send when you play at anything louder than bedroom. and a lifesaver when recording.

great job

Sounds great! Seriously, you are one great player! Always look forward to your clips.

Which guitar do you prefer to play: BC Rich or Washburn N4? Both sound great but just curious.

if only we lived closer   id kill to be able to start a band with you

awsome job - i like the brown eye as well between the three.

i would keep the mesa and the brown eye and sell the other. but to be honest, i think the best of all three was the t-shirt :D

great clips.

Well the BC Rich is really fat, full and thick sounding. Problem with it is it's heavy. The Washburn is light and very comfortable. The tone is really punchy. The Washburn is the one I play most of the time.

Hey Shiney yeah I still have and love the Vintage Modern. Put Svetlana6550Cs in the Randall other day and the amp is much improved over the stock 6L6s that came with it. I used to like the VM way more than the Randall but now I dig both a lot

Thanks for checking these vids out. I'll be getting these modules to Bstaley here n a few days. He is a much better player than me and has real recording equipment. You guys should hear a bigger difference between modules with Bill's clips.

I liked these clips much more than the wet ones. :D Maybe I'll do some clips too once I get them back. My rig is up and ready to go finally  Of course my hack plying will leave a lot to be desired :aww:

I should send over my C45/Brown Eye, Voodoo HG Jose (you have the UG right now),and Jaded Faith Plexi. Curious how you'd feel they stack up next to the VM.

Hey Dan I actually just got finished playing Pete's Recto modules. Holy hell does that thing bring the brootalz. I'm not a Recto guy but Pete really nailed it. I also love his Mesa Mark module. Thats a ton of fun to play through. If I were to order some modules tonight it would be Pete's Mk and Recto, and Dave's SLO. I havn't really gotten along with the XTC or the Jose. My Black Eye is still my number one but the other moduels are a blast to play through. Bill is going to eat up the Recto module I bet.

I also have a Friedman recto module as well that I really like for the brootalz as well. If your interested Ill send a few more your way once this batch makes it's way home. Just let me know.

Jim,
Killer playing and tone. I need you to show man some of those licks next time we get together. I'll email you offline and make arrangements to get Dan's modules.

Dan, thanks for letting me check out your modules. If you ever want to try out any of the Egnater stuff let me know and I'll ship some out to you.

Bill I think your gonna love Pete's Mesa modules.
They are pretty cool arent they. I'm not a Mesa guy, but these modules are great to kick around rather than having the $ tied up in the real thing for me.

I've had a little bit of time to play with the modules. Here is my take on them so far.

Friedman SLO:
Sounded good but not great. Maybe I had my expectations too high. I much prefer his HBE or Jim's BE to this. I directly compared it to the Egnater EG5 and I'd take the EG5 hands down. I'd really like to try Pete's SLO again. Pete's SLO really impressed me though it was a touch noisy.

Pete's Mark Module:
Now you're talkin'!!! Very nice. We haven't had the "Mesa" flavor like this in a module till now and I am impressed. I was able to dial this to be almost identical to the Lead 2 Yellow mode of my Triaxis.

VooDoo Amps Jose mod:
I seem to like this more than Jim. I don't think it would make a good metal rhythm module because it is a little mushy but for pure shredding stuff it is pretty decent. Plenty of gain on tap. It is most similar to my Egnater MHG but doesn't have the "liveliness" of the MHG.

Pete XTC:
Sorry, I'm just not feeling this one. I know Pete said this mod versus his new one are totally different and I'd like to try the new one. This doesn't sound like any Ecstacy I ever played. Not bad, but not what I was expecting.

Pete Recto:
Pretty badass. I really dig the push/pull knob. It gives you two distinct tones. I'm not sure what it does but one mode seems mellower and the other is very aggressive. This is similar to my modded Egnater ERect. My ERect was modded by Jeff to have tighter low end. Pete's has a little bit more gain and is slightly more aggresive in the midrange. I like this a lot.

I won't be able to do clips tonight or tomorrow since I have to work a 15 hour shift tomorrow thanks to the stupid G20 coming to Pittsburgh last week and screwing up everybody's schedule. Maybe Tuesday I'll be able to record something and then I'll get these back to Dan.
