Anybody own one of these?
MF is blowing them out for $299. At $899 list and $599 normal sale price I'm sure it's Chinese.

Just wondering if these may sound ok and work as a backup for my main rig. Something to fall back on should my #1 go down.

Probably just a rebadged Bugera but for $299 it might sound ok.

Any input would be appreciated before I pull the trigger.

 i just looked and it says it's $599?

Click on the Stupid Deal of the Day section. I just checked and it still shows $299.

oh ok. i went directly to the product page and it said stupid deal on it but still had $599.

I probably should have waited but I couldn't resist.

I ordered.

Worst that could happen is I hate it and I send it right back to them.

I'd still like to hear from anyone who owns or has heard one.

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever get this amp? I'm curious as to how it sounds? It's back up on the stupid deal of the day, but with a matching cab for $499.

Yes I did get it and I sent it back after a couple of days.

It worked fine, I just didn't like how the amp sounds.

I even did the preamp tube swap that Mike Fortin suggested over at the Randall forum. It added more gain but the overall tone of the amp wasn't something I could work with even at $299.99.

YMMV though.
Some guys are raving about it on other forums and I do see MF has it on sale again with a Celestion loaded cab for $499.

I figured the amp would be a little less than inspiring. Maybe if one needed to upgrade from a solid state amp, it might be worth it, but I can't imagine it would sound any better than my ENGL Powerball or Peavey 6505. The price is definitely eye catching though.
