Randall XL Cabs?

One of these popped up near me and has me considering making an offer. I remember these were well regarded back in the day. 4x12 loaded with UK V30s.

If I recall correctly, despite the “XL” moniker these are close to typical Marshall 4x12 size and there was an “XXL” cab that was more of the Mesa OS size.

I already have a Mesa OS 4x12 and I like it well enough but in the past I have had other V30 loaded cabinets that sounded considerably different. The Mesa has a very “controlled” sound for lack of a better word, and sometimes I miss the more open or lively sound some of the other V30 loaded cabs had.
 
I still use my warhead cab daily . If it’s like that it’s great
 
I had the scott Ian sig xl slime green cab years ago. awesome fucking cab. 2 v30's and 1 emi !5" legend. It fucking crushed. Was running my vh4 and jvm410 with that and a gflex 2x12. It fucking ripped. Damn...I've had some nice shit down through the years.....
 
They’re well built and well respected. I’d rock one. They’re not easy to find these days.
 
Are these the ones that have an internal baffle that separates the top and bottom (into essentially two 2x12's)?
 
I don’t know…I can’t find a lot of solid info on these, but then again most of the search engines have mysteriously become very unhelpful over recent years. It’s strangely gotten harder and harder to search for shit and it gives the impression the Internet is much smaller than it was 10-15 years ago.

That sounds familiar in general but I don’t know if that was the XL. I kinda think it’s not.
 
i have an unloaded xl in the garage you can have
It was a very good sounding cab, but i have a jcm 900 cab that looks like death, and a mills acoustics cab that i rock right now.

I had a wall of those in black when I first started playing again in 2006. Got em strait from Randall for cheap!! Six cabs for $1500 shipped! I loved them. Ran 3 Randall V2 heads into them. Fucking crazy shit to have in a spare bedroom.
