So, I pulled out some Tyketto today, Don't come easy. I really dig these guys, great song structure, tone and the works

Any one know what gear Brooke St. James used on this album?

Also fire up some Babylon AD Bang go the Bells   and some Screamer and Riot

Hair bands are the greatest   :rawk:

Brooke used a Soldano pre-amp on the first Tykes record....he doesnt remember which one. He was also really into single coils in the bridge back then. They are in the process of doing a new release this year with the original guys. I've heard some of the demos and it's good stuff.....Brooke's got the greatest EVH type plexi tone happening these days...head and shoulders above the first record tone. He's playing a Metro 12 series with a faustine phantom and late 60's pre-rolas....it's pretty sick.

Thanks for the info. "Cornfordcrunch" Brooke has a really nice tone not to mention that his lead work is really tasty  I'd be interested in hearing new stuff from these guys.

Really dug Tyketto as well and agree, great tone, phrasing, and playing. It'll be nice to hear something new from them.

Tyketto did sound pretty sweet - huge guitar tones and fantastic hooks. Babylon A.D. was also a fave from back in that day. When I lived in Florida 20 years ago, a band I was in for a short time got to open for them and they sounded pretty impressive live.

Never saw Tyketto but I did see Babylon AD twice

I just pulled Hurricane and Kingdom Come out   I miss the 80's and early 90's, very few groups any more put out stuff like this any more. Accepts latest offering is really good though :rawk:

Here's more 80s bands- Mari Hamada with Mike Landau and his crunchy cranked Plexi guitar tone scrunched up with a Yamaha SPX-90...

I just picked up TNT's latest offering and had my first listen. I'm with holding judgement until I give it a second run through but I don't know :aww: :dunno:

Do you have the new Danger Danger? I was a mild fan back in the day, mostly for Timmon's. The new one is amazing, easily one of the best 80's bands' release in the last ten years.

I loved Hurricane and Kingdom Come as well. The first two KC releases were in constant rotation in my tape deck.

I do not have the new Danger Danger, I will check it out for sure. I agree with your statements on Kingdom Come infact their first release is in my car as we speak

Hell yeah! That was the soundtrack of my junior year summer in high school, so much nostalgia surrounding that cd. From the solo onward in What Love Can Be gives me chills to this day, I love that outro. I really liked Mean Dirty Joe and The Wind on the second release.

check out savatage, especially HALL OF THE MOUTAIN KING!

Savatage and Roit are both great.

Did a second pass at the new TNT  I don't really get it :aww:

I'll check them out "tempestt" thanks

Primal Fear = awsome.

Also, Jorn is freakin awsome as well
