Eleven quiet, durable solid state footswitches with no mechanical contacts to fail. 27 LEDs!

Two onboard PEDAL jacks to connect footswitches or expression pedals.
FX8 can control or respond to other MIDI gear in your rig with MIDI IN and OUT/THRU ports.
Easy-to-use with a 160×80px display, 6 buttons, 5 knobs, and minimal menu diving.
128 PRESETS allow you to create 128 completely different pedalboards.
Up to eight simultaneous effects per preset, with state-of-the-art “Fractal-quality” algorithms.
Each effect can be configured as desired: Pre/Post, Series/Parallel.
“Stompbox Mode” provides traditional ON/OFF switching, plus XY switching (with press & hold).
“XY” gives many effects two completely different sets of settings for maximum sonic flexibility.
Eight SCENES/preset allow you to load effect ON/OFF and X/Y “combos” (plus relays and MIDI.)
“Modifiers” allow real-time control of many parameters via MIDI, pedals, or controllers.
Designed for UNITY GAIN (both PRE and POST) and featuring TRUE BYPASS.
High quality converters deliver ultra-low noise and pristine audio. No tone suck!
Humbuster™ outputs help defeat ground hum (when used with Humbuster™ Cables).
Built-in global IN and OUT VOLUME (pedal-assignable) & dual global 10-band Graphic EQ.
Every preset includes a built-in dedicated global 4-MINUTE LOOPER (8m in mono)
USB for connection to a Mac or PC for easy editing, backup/restore, and firmware updates.
FX8-Edit, a free editor/librarian, gives user-friendly access to all sound settings.
And more! Upgradeable firmware means the FX8 will get updates and new features.

I'm sure it will kick butt. I just had the second HD 500 break down. I bet the build quality will be much better than the HD 500...and of course the sound..

This, I'd have to consider. Sadly, I'm sure that once it's released, stock will vanish and you'll have to buy them off ebay for $2200.

I don't see how most tube amp dudes will not at least want to try this with their favorite amp/amps.........I got on the list!

Now that an effects-only unit is coming out, maybe they will release an amp-only unit as well? I think it could be a good seller. Some guys use the Axe just for effects, and this unit is perfect for those guys. Other guys just want the toanz . . .

I would do that honestly don't even need too many models ,20 amps 20 Ir slots ,tuner would be great
5 clean ,5 crunch ,5 lead and 5 modern hg

I have been looking forward to this one. I added myself to the list. Can't wait! Does all that I have ever needed including channel switching for my amp.

Thanks for the heads up, I don't think the price is so bad considering what all it can do.

It's a bit pricier than I expected, but still very cool. I'm gonna hold out to see if there is a likelihood of a rack mount effects only unit coming out..... otherwise I suppose I could hypothetically just mount this in a tray in my rack and be done with it......

I'm interested. If this unit has the functionality and anywhere near the FX quality of the Strymon Timeline & Mobius, as well as allowing me to operate my amplifier via midi, then it looks like a bit of a winner.

Hopefully in a floor unit as well.

If that can really do the 4CM thing without sucking tone, like the G System does  , and without adding HUM then this could be the last multi board I'd ever need. Leaving their amp models out of the discussion there's no question how good the Fractal effects are.

would have been great with a few slots for amp models. Would have made an amazing backup rig direct to board, or just getting rid of stage mice and running it direct with an on stage amp.

Amazing! I'm on the list as well...price point is realistic when you consider the caliber and quality of what's being offered here try and build a board with all these features bet you'd be over 3 grand and still not have the versatility

For the price of a couple buteeeeekie pedals and a patch cable or two, you get the whole enchilada. Cliff is light years ahead of the competition on digital FX and their integration. I am on the wait list and will gladly shell out the dough for one.

Steve, there isn't much gear out there that you haven't shelled out dough on.

how good are the Axe-FX boost/OD functions, I am a boost junkie but this all in one unit seems like it would be a really simple solution instead of buying 20 pedals to scratch the surface of what this thing will do.
