MURDERATOR
Was running the tremoverb and Windsor in stereo and was basically just using the Windsor as a power amp slaved to the tverbs pre. Boss ms3 for effect…in stereo. Anyway I was having volume issues with both amps. No good way to fix and match the volumes up. So because I got this really killer preamp pedal that someone on here made for me (hi Wayne!)…I decided to redo everything. So now I’m running a wet/dry setup….which is still stereo…but now it’s the tverb with effects on the left side and Thor’s hammer going into the Windsor on the right side….dry. I’m boosting Thor’s hammer with the Chiron and the tverb will be boosted with my screamer. Sounds pretty good so far. I lost my noise suppressor with the ms3 running like this and I’m getting a good bit of noise from the Windsor but that’s normal. I might break out the ultra 60 and try it instead of the Windsor now that it’s retubed. Anyway..sounds pretty good ?

LOL

Good stuff though man. The hunt is just as much fun as at it can be frustrating. What you have now is closer to what I'm doing wet/dry wise. Guitar > Boss NS2 (4 cable mode) > Bad Monkey OD > Phaser > ABY > TC Mimiq >

Dry to Rectoverb
FX loop to Splawn > MXR 10 EQ > Chorus > Boss NS2 again > Delay > Reverb > Splawn

So the Wah, OD, Phaser, all feed into the Mimiq before going to amps.

I think

And I’m in my drawers….because that’s how I roll when I’m making videos….

re-did it again. W/D was not doing it for me. Pulled the windsor and plugged in my PV Ultra. Converted the ultra from a combo to a head and re-tubed it. First time I actually turned it on since taking that project on. Both amps and effects are in stereo but instead of slaving the tremoverb,(not sure if that is the correct term or not) I left the Peaveys pre alone. So tremoverb left and peavey right....instead of two t-verbs like I was doing with the windsor. Must have had something off last time because it sounds really good now. Sounded good with the windsor but the volumes were super wonky. The main thing I noticed after testing the ultra was I prefer the low gain input to the high one. Less noise and still delivers. Disconnected all my pedals when I did this so now I'm going to hook them all back up straight through the front. The wife is decorating for Christmas so looking forward to getting on her nerves today. She's diehard country. The boomboom room is right beside the living room....lol... I'll dial in a sound and play a backing track through the KRK's and proceed to amaze her and remind her why she married me wif dem skillz bwah.....

ok I'm done with this fuckin bull shit. I'm going to find a switcher with it's own grounding and start over. Not sure what the deal is but the ms3 seems to want to work in a strange manner at the oddest times. Was running my tremoverb by itself and had no effects. Turned the ultra plus on(they're in stereo) and everything was good. The other night had them both on and no effects...had to play with the volumes to get it to work. It's an error on my part-nothing wrong with the unit. My main issue is volume control and matching. The mv on the tverb seems to affect its volume and the effects while the channel volume seems to control the PV's(2nd amp) volume. It's gotten really aggravating. And I'm using my studio laptop to control the ms3 because it's easier but the computer gives the the tverb a ground loop hum that fucking sucks. Why does it have to be such a pain in the dick to have epic slut banging tonez? What would Rip Glitter do?

Sometimes there is a gain stage removed from the low input. Sometimes that will give a clearer sound. Boosting that with solidstate boost will sound better than so many preamp yube cascading gain stages where all you end up hearing is microphonics
