Rebel 30 Recording

hey guys
i got my rebel 30 (half stack) a while ago and it kicks ass
now i want to record with it direct with my line6ux2, so i have a few questions
do i have to use the silent record when i plug the record line out to my ux2 or is it just an option?
the cabinet should be connected to the head while recording?
i connect the record line out with the "instrument" input in my card right?

i know that these are rly nooby questions, but i dont want to make any mistakes

If you are in silent mode you don't have to have the speaker connected. The amp takes up the load. If you are NOT in silent mode then you MUST have the speaker connected. Yup, line out into instrument input. Don't know about the Line 6.
