Ok so I have an egnater rebel 20 head and matching cab, that I like very much. Been working fine...played it earlier in the week with no problem, then plugged in yesterday, and nothing no sound...checked the speaker cab with another amp, and its not the cab or speaker cable...no matter what output i try, no luck out of the head....any thoughts on first place to look for an easy fix? could it be a fuse issue? I don't really know much on tube amp repair, so any tips would be great....everything lights up ok as far as the power light. thanks,

there will be a slo-blo fuse somewhere on that amp. it has blown.

Not putting out? Maybe you're just not its type.

Sorry couldn't resist :D

it is most likely a tube issue. I work at music store that sells the eggies and the rebel 20s have been known to have some sort of tube problems from the factory when they sell. If you have extra tubes laying around try swapping for some other ones and see if it works. If the lights are still working the fuse isn't blown.

just for kicks, I just turned it on and left it on standby for awhile, just to see if it would make a big difference (like 5-10 min of standby), no glowing of the tubes...does that give any clues into other possibilities????

yes, tubes not glowing generally means it's a tube issue. as per stated above...

If it's a tube issue, it kinda seems like just one would be not glowing. That seems pretty weird that all are not glowing. Does it have a HT and Mains fuse? Maybe check both.

It seems like you have a bad tube & you need to replace one or more fuses.
