Rebiased the Ktre. And a new PI tube. Full of win!

I had it biased in ten minutes, but I threw a old Phillips 7025 in the PI, AND all of the hiss and background noise went away. I am thrilled. I no longer need a noise gate.

What is the point of this thread? An old mil spec NOS tube in the PI solved all of my noise issues!

Give it a spin! Highly recommended.

Hmmmm, my KII is pretty damn quiet anyway, but thanks for the tip. I might try that. I actually have a couple of Phillips 7025 tubes that I got out of an old Traynor Bassmate.

From a gain perspective yes, but the 7025 was meant for low noise back in the day.
