Reb's tone sounds great but which amp?

A while back I saw a video where he is talking about how great the new PT100 is. This video sounds good. It always surprises me that he plays those EMG's.

PT100... but in the first video he is using the previous CAA PT100 version... which I actually like a bit more than the new PT100SE (midi version). The CAA PT100 is a bit more mean and aggressive sounding.

Kills me to think that they were put under by (Beavis and Butthead) and POS bands like Nirvana...
'PULL' is an absolute MASTERPIECE of music.
Reb, Kip and Rod are monster musicians!!!!

I hear ya. Winger IV is an incredible album!
Kip is a genius

I loved Winger from the start. The mini concert they did on MTV was killer.
Reb is just a monster.

I didn't know Mike Judge killed hair bands ...

I think they died because they did everything they could do and people wanted something else.

Yep... Maybe, Chester,
I think Winger was way over most kids heads too.
I hate the term "hair band" You lump Winger into that stereotype?! Yikes...
... It was, and is "good music"
Kids love to play chords OR complete songs with one finger.

Metallica making fun of Winger & throwing darts at Kip's picture in the Nothing Else Matters video & also in the making of the Black album videos didn't help either

Winger is/was the apitamy of unoriginal pre fab sell out corporate rock tailor made for girls aged 13-24.
Sure those guys are great musicians and they will be the first to admit it was a money grab.
As for long lasting impact, originality and any semblance of hip, cool or something memorable I'll look elsewhere.
Thanks

May be some merit to your statement from then. But now their music is light years ahead of other rock out there currently or even from the girls aged rock. Kip Winger is a music genius.

More picking, less tapping ...

Nothing sez Metal more than a Kip Winger ballet.

I also find Reb taps a little too much and wished he would pick more because he has got the chops to do it.. as for tone, pretty sure he gooses his leads with something cheap like a stock DS-1. He likes the added saturation it gives him on an already gained out as hell amp..
