Nothing to it really. Things a solid hunk of stainless steel and the spring tension is just fuckin retard strong. My bro Chris (sdmf38) hooked me up with it. Other than replacing the fine tuners and adding some height adjustment screws…that’s really all it needed. Kahler felt I should replace the springs based on pics but after doing it I realized that the old springs are good and I’m only going to lock it down and use it for a hardtail bridge. It’s a Gibson labeled flyer. And it would probably survive the apocalypse. Honestly I prefer kahler to Floyd 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. This bridge is a fuckin unit.

Probably polish it up and throw it on my Greco Sykes. The Sykes kahler is a fake. Seems to be a high quality fake but fake nonetheless. Also installed the kahler locking nut on my Sykes when I first got it so it will have a complete authentic kahler system on it.

I put a Kahler on an Iceman bass once. It was sweet. I was bending bass up to guitar notes. That was the only time I ever broke a bass string.

I traded it for the Ampeg tube DI. No regrets.

Actually I have some regerts…kahler parts are expensive as fuck. Springs, fine tuners and some threaded inserts for the saddles was $80…..

Fist time i saw the Steve Clark sig Gibson LPC w/ Kahler mid 80's at the only Gibson dealer in my area each string was on a roller i was completely astonished how awesome it was.

I didn't know they still sell these new. Might have to throw one on my Lester next year.

Not sure why Kahler became hated, but it's my favorite Trem. Jackson has started to use them again on limited run custom shops.

Dean's been them using for awhile. I've been looking at V since they came out in 2021.. I wanna say Mike, (headlessdeadguy) has one??

The only weak spot with kahler would be the locking nut system. At least the old style that goes on behind the nut. You have a shit nut it’s gonna affect stability. Floyd had them beat on the locking nut. But that’s it.

The Kahler on my Hanneman has been flawless.

My first Kahler...ever. I kinda dig it, but have been using a Floyd for so long that it feels like the Kahler is gonna snap off with my gorilla mitts. Too smooth and refined.
