When you mentioned Kissin' Dynamite, who I like, it reminded me of Battle Beast, Chris.

Also melodic and great guitar. That chick sure can belt 'em out.

Beast In Black is great too - the singer actually sounds female in some parts of songs...awesome stuff.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'm pretty well versed with the Frontiers records AOR / POMP / Melodic Rock. But honestly... I think it all sounds the same. The Guitarist of Work of Art / Eclipse seems to produce almost all the records for Frontiers so it all sounds samey. Also most of it isn't proggy, well not proggy in a late 80s/early 90s case.

Work of Art’s new album is okay. Can definitely tell the Survivor influence as one of the Survivor members wrote 4 songs on it, or co-wrote. There’s not any real pop out songs though, after 5 listens...I much prefer Lionville’s last release over the new WOA. Just me. But Robert Saal and the guys are super cool. Sent me an autographed cd of Framework

Rian is the man for this category! I have found so many bands over the years based on what he listens to. Check out Pagan's Mind as well. Great prog band in the vein you mentioned.

One of my personal favorite prog musicians is Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree). I love his solo releases! He was a part of the writing process for Opeth's Damnation. Uses a lot of 70s prog influences while modernizing the approach. I personally love everything he releases. Here is a great live example of just a killer prog moment especially at the 6:50 mark (the keys and guitar solos are just amazing
